Paro Ambardar, PhD

Dr. Paro Ambardar is a licensed clinical psychologist, organizational consultant, and executive coach with practices in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. She specializes in helping individuals and groups explore personal and professional challenges through a deeply psychological lens, fostering curiosity, emotional insight, and strategic self-awareness. Her consulting focuses on conflict management, affect regulation, and leveraging diversity and cultural dynamics to decode complex systems and empower clients to create more meaningful structures for themselves and their organizations. Dr. Ambardar frequently integrates empirical frameworks, including Hogan and 360-degree assessments, to augment her work and enhance impact.

Since 2001, Dr. Ambardar has taught, facilitated experiential learning groups, and provided executive coaching in global management programs such as INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program in Singapore and multiple IMD programs in Lausanne, Switzerland. She has also taught Group Dynamics and Open Systems Theory as adjunct faculty at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research centers on group psychodynamics and the dynamics of competition and envy in teams. Originally from Kashmir, India, Dr. Ambardar holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from CUNY Graduate Center and Harvard Medical School’s Cambridge Hospital program, with post-doctoral work at MIT. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, hiking, tennis, and playing music with her husband and two daughters.
